(remote or in person)
~PHYSICAL THERAPY & PRIVATE YOGA: Dr. Somer offers in-person or virtual sessions to help one with structural alignment, common muscle imbalances and rehabilitating their body with a combination of Yoga and Physical Therapy. She also teaches Kundalini Yoga, which is Yoga for the energy body, as well as Kundalini Meditation, which is a more active style of meditation and great for beginners.
~HYPOPRESSIVE BREATHING & LOW PRESSURE FITNESS: Dr. Somer teaches individual in-person or Skype sessions and workshop for this revolutionary breath and postural method, which decreases pressure in the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities (the opposite of traditional core work). It is a paradigm shift in how we approach core and pelvic floor recovery. This rehab method is ideal for: - Poor posture and breathing patterns - Core dysfunction, back pain or neck pain - Preparing the body for pregnancy - Pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti or hernia - Pelvic floor disorders, such as incontinence - Decreasing waist size & flattening abdominals - Improving circulation and athletic performance
~CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY: CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch, CST improves the functioning of the central nervous system, complements the body's natural healing processes, bolsters resistance to disease and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction. In-person session required.
~SOMATOEMOTIONAL RELEASE: A process where the therapist facilitates a dialogue that supports the connection between the client and their own subconscious mind to release stuck emotions stored in the body. It also helps to connect one to their intuition and help you get clear on what and where you are holding stagnant energy in the body. This can be an in-person or phone session.
~MERIDIAN BALANCING: A holistic technique connecting the CranioSacral system to the meridians (or energetic channels) of the body, as they relate to organs, emotions, elements and sounds. Entails literally asking the body yes or no questions through the CranioSacral rhythm (flow of cerebrospinal fluid) and specifically tailoring the sessions to each client. Also includes the application of different influential points of Qi, bones, marrow, tendons, organs and blood.
~REIKI HEALING: (Pronounced ray-key) A Japanese energy healing technique used for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. The body and mind store patterns of negative thoughts, as well as energy blocks. This can lead to chronic illness, anxiety and depression. Reiki removes these energy blocks and assists in shifting these patterns. It also reduces stress, anxiety, grief, pain, swelling and discomfort due to medical procedures. This can be an in-person or distant Reiki can be performed during a phone session, usually alongside a SomatoEmotional Release session.
